Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • 2/3 tsp yeast


  • 2 3/4 cups flour


  • 4 tbsp granulated sugar


  • 1/2 tsp salt


  • 1/3 cups melted butter


  • 2 nos eggs separated


  • 1 1/2 cups warm milk


  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

  • Add 1 tsp sugar and yeast to the milk and set it aside for 3 - 4 minutes.
  • In a bowl, whisk the egg whites until stiff and set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk mixture, vanilla, egg yolks, butter and remaining sugar, add the flour and salt and mix until a uniform mixture is formed.
  • Fold in the egg whites gently and cover the bowl with plastic wrap and allow it to rest for about an hour or refrigerate it overnight.
  • Preheat your waffle maker and brush the inside with butter.
  • Let the waffles cook until golden brown.
  • Once ready, serve them with vanilla ice cream, drizzle chocolate sauce and whipped cream at the side (just like I did). Or maple syrup, Nutella, fresh berries, however you would like to have it.
